Nats Win Second In A Row. ARLINGTON, VA, April 19, 2012 /NATSweb/ -- The Nationals won their second game in a row to start the season with an 11-0 victory over the Twins. The offense was led by Chris 'Buster' Kane who went 2 for 4 at the plate and drove in two runs and scored two runs. John 'Bandit' Merlene tripled to plate Mac 'Freak' Mulock and then scored on a throwing error from the outfield of the Twins. Freak Mulock pitched four innings of no hit baseball and struck out 10 of the 13 batters he faced to earn the win. 'Cool Hand' Luke Nardini made his season debut pitching a scoreless fifth inning with one struck out. Buster Kane threw out the only base runner that Cool Hand Luke Nardini allowed on an attempted steal of second base. Freak Mulock applied the tag to complete the play. There is no rest for the weary as the Nats embark on an 11 day stretch where they will play five games beginning with the Cubs on April 21st.
